Using the enlarged version of the pattern above cut 6 pieces out of fabric. Proceed with sewing instructions below.

1..Place one piece on top of another as shown.

2. Sew the pieces together 1/4 inch from edge starting at point A and finishing at point B.
(to get a 1/4 inch seam align the edge of the fabric with the outside of the presser foot)

3. Repeat step 1 and 2 for the remaining pieces. Finish by joining the first and last pieces together. Sew close to top edge to close.

5. Finish the round edge using a zigzag stitch and clipping close to the edge of stitches or by sewing a strip of single fold 1 inch bias tape of matching color.
{see instructions below}

4.. Flatten seams by ironing from inside. This will help achieve the curved shape.

6. Make (optional) matching button by cutting a circle (a little larger than the button) out of the same fabric and gluing it over the button as shown. (Any fabric glue will do. The best to use is Fabric-Tac).

Optional Edge Finish (Bias Tape)

1. Unfold one side tape and sew 1/4'' from unfinished round edge on right side of fabric.

2. Working from the underside iron seam towards edge. Iron other side of bias tape outward. Turn tape over and stitch close to inward edge of tape.
