Home-made (sprayed) pottery

Use textured spray paint on old pots, vases and other containers to create a stone or clay look. You can get nice vases for under a $1 at garage sales. To create the pottery below I used American Accents' "Terra Cotta", Krylon's "Make it Suede" and a regular Ivory color enamel spray. Two tones can be achieved by allowing first coat to dry and then using masking tape and paper to cover area already painted and expose the area you want to paint with different color.

NOTE: When painting over glass and glazed pottery sandpaper the entire container lightly before painting. This will help paint adhere better and prevent peeling.

One can of textured paint can produce up to 15
pots and vases depending on sizes.
