Easter Decorations For HL

With Easter coming early this years it's good to contact local churches who are setting up stage scenes ahead of time and ask for any unwanted props they may be willing to lend or donate, especially if they have village backdrops and palm trees.

Our Children's Church is doing a short Easter skit about Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem in the form of a TV Morning News Edition. We have to pre-record a segment to air as live on a giant screen. So, we have contacted a local church who already has an Easter scene on stage and they have agreed to let us use it for filming. Of course you know what I will be asking for after they finish with their program!wink

Fruit Crates for the MP

In addition to using baskets for decorations remember to stop by your local supermarket or vegetable stand and ask for the empty produce crates (stapled or wirebound). They are made of real wood, they're light and great props for the Marketplace. Stuff them with brown tissue paper (grocery paper bags will also do) and add some plastic fruits and vegetables.
